85th Annual Montpelier Hunt Races
“The Montpelier Hunt Races are an annual tradition that brings together locals & visitors to view the wonderful spectacle of the horse races whilst “tailgating” around the race course with old friends and new. Set on the beautiful Montpelier property next to James Madison’s historic house, one can wander around greeting people and shopping at the small stands selling Virginia items (most associated with the horse world) and sample some food from the food stands if you are still hungry after consuming all the homemade items that people fill their tables with. Of course, the horse racing is magnificent and very exciting as the horses come thundering by you. It is always a fantastic time.” - Barbara Miller, Edgewood Miller Farm
